Basketball legend Oscar Robertson received the NBA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Roberston is regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history. His rookie average alone of 30.5 per game is the third highest by any rookie to this day and at the time of his retirement he was NBA’s all-time leader in career assists and free throws made and was the second all-time leading scorer behind Wilt Chamberlain.

Admitting that basketball is a totally different game today than it was in his heyday, Robertson acknowledges their similarities while praising the point guard for his prowess on the court.
