The cultural and blockbuster phenomena Black Panther which recently surpassed the $1 billion mark worldwide in box office sales have athletes from across the globe proudly mimicking one of the movie’s choreographed gestures.

Every sport across the globe including tennis, soccer, and wrestling are finding their black athletes proudly showcasing the “Wakanda Forever” gesture.

French tennis player Gael Monfils expressed his excitement with victories over Matthew Ebden and John Isner in the first two rounds of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif., with the salute.

On Friday, American Sachia Vickery did the same in a comeback win over No. 3-ranked Garbine Muguruza of Spain, the defending Wimbledon champion.
