Since Starbucks have quenched our thirst for unicorn blood through their enchanting pink and blue glittery frappuccino, it never occurred to the consumers how much sugar it really contains.

The standard 16 oz. size or grande contains a whopping 59g of sugar if ordered with whipped cream, which is already equivalent to 15 sugar cubes.

“Sugar is listed as an ingredient five times in the ingredient list. There are so many different sources of sugar,” Tox Doc Dr.Noreen Khan-Mayberry said. “I mean, you talk about a glycemic swing that is out of this world.”

If you are trying to lift off that guilt by slashing the whipped cream from your order, here’s a news for you: you still got 55g of sugary goodness in your drink.

For the health conscious, One grande Unicorn Frappuccino holds about double of the recommended daily added sugar limit for both men and women, according to the American Heart Association—not to mention it’s 410 calories, with 140 of those calories coming from fat.

“This is really bad for someone to drink on a regular basis,” Dr. Khan Mayberry said. “I’m really glad these are available for a limited time.”

Returning to its magical dimension, the Unicorn Frappuccinos will be available till Sunday only.
