Former Super Bowl Champion James Ihedigbo is on a mission to deliver a new shuttle bus to Houston’s The R.O.C.K. Church by Christmas Day!

The R.O.C.K. (Reflections of Christ’s Kingdom) Church is in need of a shuttle bus for a community outreach program that helps provide badly needed transportation to women from The Bridge Women’s Shelter, college students from University of Houston Clear Lake, University of Houston Downtown and Texas State University, and the Boys Scouts of America.

Ihedigbo, a Houston resident and retired NFL Pro, learned of the church’s mission and is uniting local businesses and donors via social media to help raise the $60,000 needed to purchase a new shuttle bus for them by Christmas!

The former Super Bowl Champ, who now owns and operates three Houston Area Kiddie Academies, launched the fundraising campaign on his Instagram page to help make the church’s wish of a new shuttle bus come true in a little over two weeks!

As of December 3, 2019, Ihedigbo, along with local businesses who’ve joined the effort (Gravitt8, Kiddie Academy League City, Night Light Pediatric, and Core Development), have raised $20,000 toward the new bus!

“This is the season of giving and this is a wonderful opportunity to ‘be the difference’ in the lives of the people this shuttle bus will help,” said Ihedigbo.  “We’re asking businesses and individuals to join our team and make a donation, big or small, to help us deliver a very cool Christmas gift that will benefit the Houston community for years to come.”
