Sherrell founded B.E.A.U.T.Y. Mentoring in 2013 and currently serves as Executive Director. She believes that every girl counts. Her philosophy is that girls play an important and integral role to society and that older women have the job of helping to guide girls. She expects B.E.A.U.T.Y. Mentors to serve as role models to enhance the lives of others, to stand by young ladies and guide them on the way in which they should go, and to help them become future leaders in our society.
Sherrell has a Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Sherrell is credentialed through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a Certified Pediatric Nurse. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and Houston Area Nurse Practitioners. She has previously worked at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. Currently, she works as a nurse practitioner in a community pediatric clinic and she also enjoys being a professor at a local nursing college.
Sherrell is married to her husband, Joseph, for over 10 years and they have 3 wonderful boys, Jaiden, Josiah, and Jaxon.
Sherrell is also working in ministry with her husband, Joseph. Sherrell has dedicated her life to encouraging and inspiring teen girls. She has mentored several young women and is passionate about making a positive impact on girls’ lives!
