Rihanna will be handing over profits from her Fenty Beauty products to African students in need throughout the month of September.
The Work hitmaker is channelling the proceeds she receives for her makeup products into her Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), a charity she established in 2012 and named after her grandparents that works to improve conditions for impoverished communities around the world.
Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation will partner with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and the Campaign for Female Education next month to provide scholarships to girls in Malawi attending secondary school, and the star hopes customers who buy her Fenty Beauty products will feel good about contributing to the cause.
“We hope that this collaboration allows the Fenty Beauty community to feel not only like they’re part of the CLF journey but also that they can take action on issues they are passionate about,” Justine Lucas, executive director of Rihanna’s charity, tells Marie Claire. “At the heart of our mission is the idea that everyone can play a part in creating a more just and equitable world by contributing in their own way.”
