As Hurricane Harvey leaves Houston Texas in sheer devastation, Hollywood stars have been sending donations to the victims of the typhoon that left about 185,000 homes damaged and 9,000 destroyed, as 42,000 people remain in shelters.
According to the latest reports, the death toll already rose to 50 and is continuing to rise.
With this, Miley Cyrus has reportedly donated $500,000 through the Happy Hippie Foundation, as seen on The Ellen Show.

“I’m really happy to help in any way that I can and I hope people understand and can put themselves in those people’s shoes,” said Cyrus, who gave to the American Red Cross, Best Friends and the Greater Houston Community Fund. “Just to know what it feels like to have everything taken away from you.”
On the other hand, Kevin Hart publicly called on his famous friends to reach out and, successfully, he recruited quite a number of stars to donate.
Others stepped up on their own, including Sandra Bullock and Leonardo DiCaprio, who’ve made some of the biggest personal donations in the nation.
A-listers like Oprah Winfrey and Lady Gaga also announced that they had donated to Houston however, they did not specify the amount they gave.
Help poured like storm as the world empathized with Texas. Donations are still coming in and while Texas reels from the tragedy, support from their countrymen is the best thing that could have happened after the storm.
