Raps reigning queen Nicki Minaj was the musical guest for the Saturday Night Live‘s Season 43 finale, performing twice and introducing a new single.
The Grammy winner kicked off the show with one of her latest singles, “Chun-Li,” from her upcoming album Queen. The performance paid homage or allowed cultural appropriation depending on how you viewed the performance. Minaj’s hair, a Chinese pavilion and Asian dancers were on full display for the performance which faced backlash on social media.
