Dr. Kadisha.B. Rapp was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and received her BA degree in Behavioral Biology from The Johns Hopkins University in 1994.   She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland in 2000, and in 2003, she completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C
In 2004, she completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA under the Team Physicians for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since then, Dr. Rapp has practiced in urban and suburban Emergency Departments, in both academic and community settings, and in freestanding emergency departments, which included serving as a clinical instructor on the faculty of Thomas Jefferson University’s Emergency Department, and practicing in community emergency departments in urban Washington, D.C., and in both urban and suburban Philadelphia, PA and Houston, TX.
Dr. Rapp was certified in Ringside Medicine by USA Boxing, and served as a ringside physician for professional and amateur boxing events in Philadelphia, Pa. and Washington, D.C. before moving to Houston in 2008.  In addition, Dr. Rapp established a medical concierge service for clients in the entertainment industry in 2010 all the while serving in her primary practice as an Emergency Medicine physician.
She has been board certified in Emergency Medicine since 2004 and she also is member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
