An Atlanta teen is celebrating her acceptance into 39 colleges and counting, while also earning almost $1.6 million in scholarships.

Jordan Nixon, a 17-year-old high school senior at Douglas County High, told CBS 46 that she didn’t expect her application process to be so successful. Her acceptances are the highest number any student at Douglas County High has ever received, according to the school.

“The crazy thing is, I’m still waiting on decision letters, but I was not expecting that at all,” she said. She applied to about 50 schools.

Her parents put their daughter’s success to hard work. While juggling applications, Nixon was also captain of her high school’s varsity cheer team, a member of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, and DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) member.

“We’re so happy for her because she does put in a lot of due diligence into applying for these schools,” Nixon’s parents Angelia and Arthur Nixon told CBS 46.

Jordan has yet to make a decision on which school she’ll call home for the next four years.
