Thank God it is Friday, but this specific Friday we are going to rejoice, worship, and praise with Jovonta Patton’s newest album, The Best Me.
The Minneapolis native and CEO/ founder of Jovonta Patton Ministries, is known for making Billboards’ best gospel album in 2016. Patton is also known for forming the community choir DFY (Deliverance For Youth) which have released collaboration albums alongside Patton.
The Best Me, marks the third solo album for the 28 year old gospel artist. Patton does not clinch his talents back in continuing to spread the Lord’s word. Giving heart-felt connections with every track.
The ten track contemporary project is filled with peaceful rhythms, consolatory choir vocals, amicable worship cheers, and efficacious lyrics. Patton features a few guest appearances from Devon Franklin, Mac Irv, Ashley Dubose, and gospel legend: Kirk Franklin.
Gospel conveys the impression of being overshadowed by the other genres of music these days, but Jovonta Patton attests the relevance.
