After running for six seasons, 2 Broke Girls reached its end after CBS and Warner Bros. TV decided to cancel the seventh season of the comedy series due to financial disagreements.

Initial negotiations suggested that season 7 will be cut down to 13-18 episodes but unfortunately, the producers could not make the deal. Aside from budget issues, factors that affected their decisions are ratings trends, creative momentum, profitability and the network’s ownership stake.

2 Broke Girls had a strong following in its first season that aired in 2011-2012. The series followed two young women, Max Black (Kat Dennings) and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs), waitressing at a diner in the hopes of raising enough money to launch a successful cupcake business. Along with Dennings and Channing, the show also starred Garrett Morris, Matthew Moy, Jennifer Coolidge, and Jonathan Kite.
