Former World No. 1 Tiger Woods dropped out of two tournaments—next week’s Genesis Open and the Honda Classic in Florida—due to back spasms.
The supposed comeback was then again halted by the recurrence of his injury, which was also the culprit that forced him to withdraw from last week’s Dubai Desert Classic.
“This is not what I was hoping for or expecting. I am extremely disappointed to miss the Genesis Open and the Honda Classic,” Woods expressed.
Meanwhile, Woods stated on his website that he will continue his treatment and let his back calm down as per advised by his doctor.
Woods will still travel to Los Angeles to support the Genesis Open and his foundation. On the other hand, he will start scheduling games again once his injury assessments turn out better.
