Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino revealed in an interview with BBC Radio 1 that he is cooking new music to be released soon.

“I’ve been working on that here (London),” Glover said. “You guys have been very instrumental in my music. London has been very inspirational.”

Glover, set to star in a new Star Wars movie, is filming right now in London.

However, he did not confirm if the new tunes will feature any U.K. acts. He shared though he has been listening to a lot of British music and has met a lot of the country’s artists but had not asked anyone yet to collaborate with him.

Meanwhile, his runaway hit “Redbone” under Childish Gambino earned a reaction from John Mayer and the actor said the success has come as a great surprise to him.

“I didn’t expect it to be a like kind of zeitgeist song, it seemed like it just kind of crawled in there,” he said. “I think John Mayer called it a ‘sniper’ because it kind of just quietly got in there. But it’s cool that people connected to it, I feel like that’s exactly what you want to do as an artist is make a song where it connects with people’s lives.”
